Ponies at Andelin Family Farm

About our ponies

Shetland ponies originate off the coast of Scotland and evolved in very harsh conditions. They have stayed small due to their environment and scarce food sources. Their bodies are small, about 28-42" at their withers, however they are very strong and hardy for their size.

Shetlands are friendly, loyal and intelligent, which can also lead to stubbornness! Like other herd animals, they like to live with other ponies.
